Season 2009 - Wrap Up
Collingwood finished last year in fourth spot. This was despite being a young developing list with the likes of
Dayne Beams and Steele Sidebottom exciting the Magpie faithful. The addition of Darren Jolly instantly upgrades
their midfield and the fantasy scoring prospects of Swan, Didak and Davis. Collingwood racked up the fourth highest
fantasy score as a team in the DT competition.
Dane Swan was a revelation last year, even though he won the B&F in 2008. His possession totals were extraordinary and
broke the record for most possessions in a game. Look for those totals to dip slightly as teams will add more effort in game plan
to stop him.

Under The Gun
After an All-Australian season in 2008, Paul Medhurst struggled mightily. Managed only 16 games and dropped 22 and 28 points respectively
in DT and SC scoring averages. The upside is that he carried an injury into the season and was hampered throughout the year, the downside is
the honeymoon is over for Medhurst at his new club and he has a history of not getting the most out of himself.
Burning Question: When will Dale Thomas' production catch up to his reputation?
Maybe because he's the pin-up boy at Collingwood, but so far, Dale Thomas' hype has largely gone unmatched by his production.
The former number 2 overall draft pick made a good contribution to the side but needs more consistency and maintain, what to date,
has been flashes of his talent.
What makes Thomas an intriguing fantasy prospect is the fact that COllingwood coaches are keen to utilise his run in the midfield
and will give him every opportunity to proved his worth. However, his history line shows that he is just treading water averaging in the mid-70s for the
past three seasons.
Some fantasy football stats for Dale Thomas:

Low DT (60) SC (47)
